Before you start
- A Linear workspace.
Steps
- In Linear open Settings → Security & access.
- Under Personal API keys, create a new key. If Linear asks what it may do, reading is enough.
- Copy the key. It starts with lin_api_.
- In lumabar, right-click the dock, choose Widgets…, open Developer and click Linear to add it.
- Click the new tile on the dock. Its card opens.
- Fill in the card as shown below and press Connect. lumabar checks it with one real read - if anything is wrong, the card says what.

If it doesn't connect
The card says what went wrong, in words like these:
“Linear rejected that key”
Copy the whole key again, or create a new one.

Privacy
The key is stored only on this PC, is sent only to Linear, and is used only to read. To remove it, click the tile and press Disconnect, or right-click the tile and choose Logout.
